I have now done this but still receive the same issue.Ĭan someone please help as this is now becoming increasingly frustrating. I had read an article about moving all custom app_code into a seperate library. I can iteratively remove files or mark folders hidden in order to remove them from the compilation process but the error simply repeats on the first remaining folder in the site. When I remove the Default.aspx from the root folder as a test to leave no code files in that directory the compiler then moves to the next descendant folder and repeats the error. The folder that the message refers to is the root folder. However, when I "Publish web site" I am constantly receiving a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message. The site compiles fine locally and runs in debug mode without any problems. Visual Studio 2019 and Dot Net 5 Dot Net 5 Runtime on Windows Server Enable IIS on Server IIS Application Pool IIS Website Create ASP.NET Core Web API. I'm currently trying to precompile my umbraco website as the hosting provider I am using takes a considerable amount of time to compile the site upon the first request after uploading changes.
